Baby Chelce, her gorgeous sister and her mom and dad came all the way from Australia for her Christening celebration in South Africa.  Her grandmother, Catherine, was so excited to be sharing this celebration with all her family and friends and she wanted a special cake in pink and white with a sugar paste figurine of her beautiful granddaughter.

I made a delicious vanilla sponge with a strawberry jam and buttercream filling and a buttercream coating.  I popped this gorgeous soft sponge cake onto and embossed board before completing with Chelce’s name, pink and white rolled sugar paste roses and finally a cute sugar paste Chelce figurine. Thank you so much Catherine for your wonderful excitement on seeing the cake you had ordered and for inviting Ed and I to be part of such a special day with your family.  We still need to set a date for more declicious cake testing!
