Cupcakes for Breast Cancer!

Cupcakes for Breast CancerCupcakes for Breast Cancer

These cupcakes were ordered for a special lady on her last day of chemotherapy in October as a thank you to all the staff and friends who had supported her during the weeks of her chemotherapy.  I made the cupcake toppers in pale pink and made pastel pink flowers, roses and breast cancer ribbons to remember all those who are undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer and all the amazing staff, family and friends who offer support through such a difficult time.

In Loving Memory of Teresa.

We love and miss you Teresa!

Last Saturday Teresa’s family and friends paid a moving tribute to her at her memorial service. Teresa was a beautiful and humble woman who battled for many years with breast cancer.  Her spirit and love of life never held her back and it was only when her frail body was finally exhausted that God decided that it was time for her to rest and end her brave fight. We will miss Teresa as a friend, as will the family who loved her so dearly. Thank you Teresa for being a friend and for being so passionate about my cupcakes and my creativity. My life was blessed and enriched by our friendship.

Benvenuto hosted another breakfast last Friday and the theme this time was Breast Cancer Awareness.  The function room was once again beautifully decorated by Belinda from Giani’s Function Decor and the guests were invited to a delicious breakfast and informational talks by different guests.  The money raised for CANSA amounted to R 4190.00 and once again the morning was a huge success.

I was invited to display my cupcakes and for the morning I decided on pink sugar paste Cancer Awareness ribbons and roses  for some of the cupcakes.  To add something different to my sugar paste decorated cupcakes I made cupcake toppers using scrapbook paper and embellishments to make flowers and tags for the toppers.  I finished off each topper with a ribbon and wording and stuck them onto a white lollipop stick.  The cupcake toppers added a pretty visual height to the display.
