Cupcakes2Delite went international to celebrate Canada Day last week. Thank you Jeanne for your order of these Rich Red Velvet Cupcakes, a perfectly themed flavour to celebrate Canada Day. Inspired by the pictures of the red maple leaf against a weathered wooden background, I added these sugar paste leaves to grey wood-embossed discs and then added them to vanilla cream cheese swirls dotted with tiny red pearls.

This colour combination was a perfect choice when Sarita ordered cupakes to celebrate her friend’s birthday. She asked me to do flowers and butterflies in shades of red and pink. The variety of embossed and veined sugarpaste flowers and pretty butterflies were perfect for these delicious red velvet cupcakes with their piped cream cheese icing.
