It is definitely wedding season with loads of requests for bridal shower cupcakes this summer. These pretty pastel pink and white flower cupcakes in a jar were the perfect addition to this beautiful table setting and bridal shower planned by Zanele. I love taking loads of photos of my client’s cupcakes before they are collected and it is seldom that I see them in action at the celebrations they were created for. Thank you Zanele for another order and for sending me such beautiful photos of your table setting at Blandford Manor with a cupcake gracing each place setting.

Cupcakes in a Jar
These cute Cupcakes in a Jar were especially ordered by Zanele for Khanyi. It was a great idea of Zanele’s to have each cupcake spell out a letter of Khanyi’s name. I piped vanilla buttercream into the bottom of each jar then added a red velvet cupcake topped with blue and red pearls, blossoms and an initial. These cupcakes were definitely Happiness in a Jar!

50th Birthday Cupcakes

Eunice wanted to surprise her sister, Ruth, with cupcakes for her 50th Birthday as she was not going to be in South Africa to celebrate with her sister. I was so pleased that Eunice first took the time to call me from overseas and then followed through with a couple of emails with the ideas she had in mind for the cupcake toppers.
Ruth must be really fun as the cupcake toppers included flowers, coffee cups, chocolate bars, gym bags and skipping ropes, travelling bags, books, lipsticks, hiking boots, tents, sleeping bags and of course her bucket list.

Pearl Figurine Class with Vicci!

The Pearl Figurine class with Vicci of Victoria Bean Bakery was a class Vicci gave earlier this year. I have this figurine in my display cabinet and she fills me with delight every time I see her as she has the sweetest and most innocent face and sitting on her rock she looks like she has not a care in the world! Not only is it always a pleasure to learn new skills from such an awesome teacher but it is loads of fun meeting other decorators and sharing different ideas and experiences with each other. Thank you Vicci for yet another awesome class!
Angela’s Quilled Centre Cupcakes
I tried out these bright coral quilled sugar paste centres to contrast with the embossed pastel yellow flowers for these cupcakes. They were for Angela, a friend who does the most pretty and colourful quilled designs. As she loves quilling which requires loads of patience I thought I would use that as the theme for her birthday cupcakes. I think that the paper art of quilling may be a little easier as the sugar paste strips do not behave as well as paper and need to be curled before they dry but it was loads of fun trying out this new idea.
Pug Face Cupcakes
Keeping up with the ‘doggie’ sweet sugar theme for my posts this weekend, and yes because Cupcakes2Delite does enjoy going ‘barking mad’ sometimes, I am blogging these adorable Pug Cupcakes. I cannot take credit for the design or the making of these cupcake toppers as I asked Paige to help me with these during her practical training hours spent with me. I am really chuffed with her help and talent as they are just too delightful. Paige with her artistic flair created these pug faces for an order that Sharon gave me for her daugher Chloe’s birthday. I have to admit that although all my clients love their orders when they fetch them and greet my sugar creations with oohs and aahs, I have never had a reaction quite like Chloe’s reaction to her surprise order from her mom. She was amazed, delighted and so thankful all in the same instant and these reactions are the reason I just love creating in sugar. Thank you Sharon for your order and thanks Chloe for making my sugar year!
