Fore….(excuse the pun) Simeon’s 6oth I wanted to do cupcakes related to one of his favourite loves….golf. I made cappucino cupcakes with coffee and caramel flavoured icing and decorated them with delicious Geldhof chocolate golf balls which Geldhof kindly halved for me. Fore the rest of the words describing Simeon I printed them onto photo paper and cut them into flags which I glued onto lolly sticks to look like the flags on the greens. Thanks Simeon for being all the thing you are to your family – husband, father, son, friend, golfer, artist, sport fanatic and for being funny, trustworthy, loyal and so much more. Hope you enjoyed your birthday celebration and your cupcakes as much as we did.

Inspired by the “Quiet One”!
Yesterday was the birthday of a scrapping friend, Lisa, who always introduces herself as the ‘quiet one’ – I wonder why we always laugh at this!
Lisa has bags of energy, fun, generosity, sassiness and yes can be a bit naughty at times so we love her to bits. Always full of great ideas and with Lisa any occasion is an excuse for a celebration.
I hope you like your cake Lisa as I tried to portray a little bit of each talent that you have on one cake – not easy when you have so many. The icing in the middle is coffe flavoured to remind you of all the fun we have while scrapping and drinking coffee and yes it was meant to look like a matting of sorts to remind you how many photos you have matted in your lifetime.
Thank you for all the laughs, little gifts and for just being YOU!
Hush Little Baby.
Julie asked me to do these cupcakes for a baby shower. The theme was Little Mermaid and the colours pink of course for a little girl. I used little pink sleeping babies and colourful shells and finished off sprinkling each cupcake with tiny pearls – all purchased at Baking Bitz (Rabie Road). Delighted how cute they looked.
Michelle’s Dream Inspired Cupcakes
My friend Michelle came to me the other day and said she had been dreaming about my cappucino cupcakes after having seen them at the Moonlight Market at Second Cup. To be honest they did have the most awesome aroma of coffee and everyone raved about them. Michelle was a true friend that evening. She came to visit the market and ended up helping me with selling my cupcakes so thanks Michelle for your brilliant and incredible friendship.
Needless to say I was inspired by her dream to make a batch of Cappucino Cupcakes for our scrapbooking morning the next Wednesday and we ate these delectable cupcakes with our cappucinos amidst much scrapping paper and laughter. Great friends always give me great Inspiration.
FUNKY AND FIFTY
OPI LOVES CHOCOLATE!
My dad arrived back from Germany on Tuesday evening and because he loves chocolate I made chocolate cupcakes with a smooth chocolate icing and a piece of chocolate for the decoration. Sprinkled them with icing sugar and voila really chocolatey cupcakes.
I definitely inherited my sweet tooth from my dad!
