Beautiful Cupcakes for a Beautifully Elegant Lady!

Pink & Moss Green Cupcakes

Pink & Moss Green Cupcakes

Michelle’s beautiful mom, Sylvia celebrated her 70th Birthday recently and it was such a privilege to be able to make her birthday cupcakes for her.  Over the years having Michelle as a friend has meant that I have got to know Sylvia as she is always at every family birthday and special celebration.  Sylvia is a quiet, humble and elegant wife, mom and grandmother and it is always brilliant to chat to her whenever I see her.  Michelle asked me to do cupcakes with the colour scheme, dusty rose and moss green.  I made roses, butterflies and rolled roses in a dusty rose sugar paste and added roses and leaves from moss green sugar paste.  These cupcakes looked so pretty in their dainty “I Love Cupcakes” holders from In Good Company, Parkhurst and were perfect on the table Michelle had so creatively laid out for her mom’s birthday celebration.  Once again I was so delighted that my cupcakes could be part of another of Michelle’s loving family celebrations.  Congratulations Sylvia and thank you for being the elegant inspiration for these cupcakes.

Little Boy Blue…with Lime Green Cupcakes!

Baby Shower Cupcakes for a Boy

Baby blue and lime green were perfect colours for the Baby Shower Cupcakes that Jenny ordered for her daughter’s  baby shower.  With all the guests definitely Oohing and Aahing the new mom- to-be and all her gorgeous gifts for her new baby the cupcakes had to be Oohable too.  I made lime green babygros with contrasting tiny buttons and added stitching detail to the arms and legs.  The teddies with their cute faces I made with blue sugar paste with green sugar paste for their little round tummies.  The boottees, baby feet and bottles are all made from sugar paste and I sourced the blue storks from Jodees.  Thank you again Jenny for your cupcake order and wishing you and your daughter the best of giggles and loves with your new grandson.

Thank you Jeanine for including my cupcakes in your birthday celebration again this year, I take it as a great compliment that clients such as yourself have remained loyal to Cupcakes2Delite.  As usual your birthday decor and attention to detail was beautiful and I loved making this pretty petite pink roses for your cupcakes to match your theme.  These cupcakes were pretty and elegant in their silver cupcake holders and I hope they proved a delight to your guests with their strawberry and white chocolate flavour.

Take time to smell the roses…..!

Thank you Lisa (TQO)  for another order for birthday cupcakes for one of your numerous friends….aren’t they really privileged to have you as a friend and lucky to have me as a cupcake maker!  These roses seem to be so popular this year and I never tire making them as they always look quite delightful nestled in their own whirls of creamy icing.  I added generous drizzles of  zesty lime green, tickled pink and lovely lavender pearls to the cupcakes to match each colour rose and popped the completed cupcakes into these zany pink and white polka dot cupcake holders.

Toblerone Cupcakes

Toblerone Cupcakes

Inspired by Paul’s love for all things chocolate, I made these Toblerone Cupcakes for his birthday.  They were a simple chocolate delight to make as I baked chocolate chip cupcakes with creamy vanilla icing and then placed a chunky piece of Toblerone on each cupcake so that there was an irresistable bite of delicious honey, nutty chocolate with each mouthful of chocolate cupcake.  These cupcakes were a pleasure to photograph in their delightful “cupcake” cupcake cases – thank you Tracy for thinking of me when you came across them.

Farmyard Cupcakes

Farmyard Cupcakes

Lyn asked me to do cupcakes with a Farmyard theme for a 2 year old’s birthday party.  Not being a natural artist when it comes to animals, I had to google and get ideas for these cupcakes.  I came across the idea to make just the animal heads from sugar paste and I made horses, pigs, sheep, cows and chickens with their naughty expressions and then iced the cupcakes according to the animals; chocolate for my lovely brown horses, perky pink for the pigs, wooly white for the sheep and cows and cheeky yellow for the chickens.

Old MacDonald has nothing on these Cupcakes!

These cute animals were quite happy to join my Cupcake Farmyard for the day and I am sure they delighted many birthday guests both young and those a little less young.  Thank you for such a fun order Lyn.
